Saturday, June 15, 2019 - 11:00 to 16:00
5511 1/2 Airport Way South
98108 Seattle (Georgetown)
An inspiring, fun playshop combining music, dance, movement creativity and art
Designed to help you develop illustrative concepts based in personal story and metaphor
With Nia First Degree Black Belt Teacher, visual arts educator and Theoria resident artist, Randee Fox

I am excited to be offering four monthly Nia/Art storytelling PlayShops at the historic and beautiful Theoria Gallery, where my own art studio/gallery is located in Georgetown, South Seattle neighborhood. The gallery has a huge and lovely space for us to dance on second floor with gorgeous wood floors and natural light! The urban and artsy neighborhood of Georgetown is full of galleries and artists with great little funky places to explore and eat. And there is easy and free parking right next to the gallery. We will start with a guided Nia FreeDance class with the intent to pull out our stories. Then a lunch break and three hours of creating imagery in playful and inspiring way using our own stories and metaphor.

First one is Saturday, June 15. Illustrative Concepts is what I taught at Austin College for four years as adjunct arts professor. I am excited about combining this, first time, with Nia in Seattle! To register, email randeefox@gmail.com.
