I grew up studying dance -- ballet, modern, a little jazz -- and while I loved learning choreography, I always yearned for the teacher to put on the music and tell us just to let it lead us in dance.

Fast forward a few decades: I finally found Nia in July 2011, and in May 2012 became certified as a teacher. I have so much respect for the science and intelligence behind Nia. It lifts spirits, heals bodies, and eases minds with the Joy of Movement.

I completed my 200-hour Yoga teacher training in 2017 and got certified in Moving to Heal in 2018.  All of these studies have deepened my commitment to bringing Nia to all populations regardless of size, age, gender, ability, or fitness level.
