Register online for class 69611 Jan 5 - Feb 9 or come early to register at the front desk.

Feb 16 - Mar 23 class 69612.

Six week sessions are $60; $51 for Lynnwood residents who provide a utility bill or other verification of residency.

Drop in fee $12.

Moving To Heal Nia classes are designed to support people dealing with a wide range of issues from addiction recovery, insury, trauma, grief, and short-term to long-term illness. It is also a great introduction to Nia for beginners. Learn to listen to one's own body rhythms and become more attentive to comfort as a way to harness the body's natural power to self-heal. Wear comfortable, loose clothing.

This Nia class is designed for anyone seeking an easy yet lively movement class with simple to follow moves that leave you feeling vital and happy. Done to enlivening music your body can't resist dancing to and taught with an emphasis on breath, balance, and awareness of the whole self. 

*Please respect a fragrance-free environment

* Enjoy dancing barefoot or feel free to wear indoor shoes if your feet need the extra support

* Come in comfortable, layered clothing

* Please bring a water bottle

Nia Moving to Heal

Nia Moving to Heal classes are for everyBODY looking for a gentler way to develop their balance, strength and mobility and have fun. Enjoy soft music and easy-to-follow choreography in a supportive atmosphere of safety and trust. Personalize movements to fit your body’s way, while focusing on pleasure, resulting in improved overall feelings of wellness, regardless of current physical/medical condition. Classes are are designed to meet the needs of those diagnosed with long-term or chronic illness and mobility limitations as well as individuals with short-term personal healing goals for body, mind and emotions. Nia Moving to Heal can be done standing, sitting in a chair, or some combination of both.  Beginners are welcome.
